
Phase Reveal
A team submission for Global Game Jam 2026 under the theme "Mask", made using Godot.
Description
A side-scrolling puzzle platformer with an exclusive-or twist. Various platforms exist in multiple additively-colorful planes of existence: red, green, and blue. You are a laboratory monkey whose bestowed mask enables you to selectively and intricately interact with them. Two platforms of contrasting hues mask each other out, becoming zilch in mutual intersection. Escape the facility, phasing your way out.
Controls
The movement controls are as what you would expect.
- A or ← to move leftwards.
- D or → to move rightwards.
- Space or W or ↑ to jump.
- E to pick up and place down weight cubes.
The numbers 1-3 allow you to toggle your three masks.
- Toggle the red mask.
- Toggle the green mask.
- Toggle the blue mask.
Press Esc to pause the game and take a break.
Objectives
- Move weight cubes over onto the pressure buttons to open gates.
- Will platforms in and out of existence using your respective masks.
- Be careful or opportunistic of mask-phasing through two intersecting platforms.
- Not fall into the sharp deadly spikes.
- Not let yourself or your cubes be crushed whilst carelessly toggling masks.
- Phase your way out for forestry freedom!
